There's an interesting slight of hand going on here that insurers are presenting this that the only people who will be affected are claimant lawyers and fraudsters, but what about their own staff? if i lobbied for something that was going to make my own employees redundant i would be pretty sure they would be up in arms at my disloyalty. if i worked in an insurance company claims department i would be feeling pretty stupid right now that my superiors in the upper echelons appreciated my efforts so little that they were very happy to see my role legislated out of existence.
