Wow. Fair-play to those of you who have had the courage of your convictions to have your say without hiding your identity. If you advocate standing-up and being counted, then start with posting your names.
A lot of tosh re jobs/taxes/claw-back of benefits. You are not wrong but mis-guided if you think those issues are going to be persuasive.
And yes anon 9.12/9.27, I agree the victim seems a bit low in the pecking order of concerns. However, the government are ploughing a rich furrow here - kill the business model and kill the claims.
IMHO difficult to see how they can frame legislation to prevent claims for compensation for injuries of a certain type in a limited circumstance. This may quietly be kicked into the long grass as impractical and inequitable.
GO gets a bump with the hard-working voter for his run at being PM by taking credit for something that is not going to happen (reducing motor insurance premiums) - we will know soon enough if that's all this is.
