I have every sympathy for the honest, hard-working practitioners who will be affected by this.

However, the only campaign which is likely to have any impact with the public and politicians is an evidence-based one demonstrating the hardship and injustice which will be caused to claimants. The profession is well placed to gather the evidence to support a campaign. The cases should be chosen carefully though. We cannot help the fact that the public will take note of the profession's self interest, but it should not form the basis of the campaign.
