We are a start-up law firm authorised by the BSB. The experience has been really positive. However, I suspect the problem in terms of BSB attracting law firm entities is firstly that the BSB's ability to regulate law firms is not well known, and secondly that there will be a reluctance on the part of law firms that are already regulated by the SRA to switch regulators. The BSB needs to tackle both of these problems and that will take time.
