The need to tackle the compensation culture is exposed by this article and the comments above,
In order to tackle this Government should
1. Increase the small claims limit to £5000. This will enable the insurers to fight dubious claims without the risk of horrendous solicitor’s costs. Once word gets around that whiplash claims are no longer a formality to pocket £2000 then this should have a salutary effect. The small claim court is ideal for these types of claims
2. Ban insurance companies selling details of accidents to claims farmers and ban them having any connection in firms making claims.
