I used to do PI in a small high street firm. Client regularly walked through the door then it dried up. The factory firms , stuffed with “paralegals”, took over with their claim farmer friends and referral fees- all with the blessing of the law society. Of course the law society couldn’t see what was once a professional relationship became a conveyor belt. I know the factory firm barons are squawking but they made a fortune so they shouldn’t be too unhappy.
