It's interesting to see that they quote £1,400 plus disbursements for a deputyship application, yet the fixed costs allowed by the Court of Protection are only £1,020 plus disbursements.

I, and so far as I'm aware most other solicitors, just charge the fixed costs, so LV are actually significantly more expensive for this service.

Perhaps it's time to increase my fees to somewhere below LV's charges, and point out to clients how they're getting a real solicitor at bargain basement prices.
