I agree Anon 5.47 . Many are in denial and its pathetic. I knew the reforms were underway when I read in the papers in 2014 that Mr Justice Mostyn dismissed some false whiplash claims with the comments
"This is yet a further example of the national phenomenon of false whiplash claims being made and it is in an attempt to stem the tide that I do not shrink from making firm adverse findings against them". “
The problem in that case as I see it was persons of good characters employed as civil servants had been persuaded to make the claims. The madness had reached a pitch when ordinary people were induced by the claim farmers to commit fraud. I don’t think you can blame the conservatives as I think labour would have had to act if they were in government. I remember Jack Straw went on a crusade. Of course the law society showed a lack of leadership on the issue as they supported referral fees.
