In relation to 4.02 There is nothing to be scared of if the complaints are genuine. But only this afternoon I have had a client tell me he wants his bill which for less than £300 written off or he will go to the Ombudsman and it will cost me more in time than that sum. He checked this a solicitor friend of his!

This is the second time I have had this from a client in 6 months. The previous complaint used to attempt to get a bill cut down failed as the Ombudsman dismissed the complaint but it is true it had taken me over 10 hours to deal with that complaint and prove we did not over charge. Of course I have still not been paid and will have to go to the County Court to attempt to recover the costs.
