That's the point David - it's only those with something to hide, and Martin has given us a good example, who bleat about security supervision. Why would people not want the police and security services to be able to combat those who threaten our daily lives, whether they be the despicable cowards of IS or the local criminal wasters?
Isn't it about time that Liberty and a good many others who live in this safe, free and all too welcoming country of ours started to take a leaf from JFK and ask what they can do for their country instead of seeking to dismantle it at every opportunity?
Contrary to some contributions here, I have never heard Liberty make a rational, real world contribution to anything - but then it and I are very definitely from different planets. The trouble is, I have to live alongside those for whom Liberty advocates absolution.
