"Treasury minister Harriet Baldwin said the pricing of insurance products is a ‘matter for individual insurers in which the government does not seek to intervene’."

Funny, because they feel perfectly able to intervene in how PI solicitors work and price their services.

The promise that the public would save money on insurance was at the core of why the Government said these latest reforms were being made. Now that we finally have this admission that they can't/won't police that, this information MUST be made known to the Daily Mail readers who are already planning how to spend their £50 saving.
