1/ LIPs are putting them off.
2/ The MoJ has begun the era of the career judge, clueless to the load and pressure on the rest of us, making unrealistic directions and timetables. Come and try Crime. The new timetables are unworkable for an underfunded CPS and inadequately trained police force, let alone a criminal defence made up of jobbing duty solicitors carrying 2 ghosts each and no clerk.
