Catherine - delighted that someone is taking the fight to the government, I run a small PI practise, all my clients are walk in I never paid for cases even in good old days, if these changes come in I will have to let go of 85% of my staff which includes qualified solicitors of ten years and over, i wonder if the government has done the math, has anyone worked out how many solicitors will lose their jobs as a result, surely the insurance promise of passing £50 back to the consumer is heavily outweighed by the government loss of income tax and ni contributions which no doubt will happen when half the pi lawyers in the country will be out of a job.
