I'd never heard of the ICRS before today. According to its website "ICRS is a partnership between Jodi Berg and Elizabeth Derrington. Ros Gardner retired as a partner in 2014 but continues to provide support as a consultant. We are experienced professionals in dispute resolution and have worked with a very wide range of organisations from the public, voluntary and commercial sectors and offer a unique combination of expertise."

Its website also says that from 1 October 2015 it will no longer accept complaints about the SRA - presumably Ombudsman Services Limited will have this role. I can see some case for an independent review of the SRA's activities, but surely it should be an oversight of the process rather than the individual results? It shouldn't matter two hoots how many complainants thought the SRA favoured solicitors, so long as the SRA's process was fair and impartial.

I wonder how many non solicitor providers of legal services have this two tiered regulatory oversight?
