Could TLS and/or The Gazette organise a convention to discuss access to justice so that the profession can publish a document which addresses the issue that has cross-profession support.
I am fed up with access to justice issues being reduced to a request by solicitors to be paid more and for the MoJ to avoid criticism of its policies to restrict access to justice by banging on about our fees and legal aid being the most generous in the Universe.
TLS and the other representative bodies must get access to justice on the public agenda and resist discussion of fees.
