One of the parts of the defendant's evidence the judge did not like related to the time on a fax, the defendant claiming a fax had been sent at a time other than that shown by his machine.
If I had a pound for every fax that I have received with the sender's machine showing the wrong time, date or both, including those coming from HMCTS, I would have lots of lovely pounds. In fact, prior to faxes being sent from computers it was highly unusual to receive a fax showing the correct time.
