This is a move in the right direction. Judges, solicitors and barristers have, together, failed to deliver good enough value in litigation. Most other sections of society are having to deliver it. The legal/judicial profession has got to get over this attitude that "the law" exists on a plateau above society and therefore legal professionals should be exempted from common sense rules about greater good and value for money.
Agree with others concerns that the boys doing the high cost cases are being let off without good reason.
