Yes, Defendant Lawyers will say that there is much fraud, but I am not aware of any of them lobbying for the small claims limit to be raised. Gavyn's claim does seem to be woefully inaccurate.

On the fraud point, Judges are kicking out claims, particularly LSI claims, on a daily basis - literally ! My (defendant) firm are winning an average of 6 LSI trials every week. It is hard to argue that the incidence of fraud is insignificant. But I realise that that debate will run and run !
