I'm sorry, Lydia. I wasn't suggesting you were involved in misandry. I really took your post as an opportunity to comment on what I have seen over many years, that too often the uneven division of household duties and childcare is put down to an unwillingness on the part of male partners (Can someone invent one-word replacements for husband/wife//fe/male partner?) to do their 'fair' share, when the choice may be rational and mutually agreed - and in the case of mothers I have mentioned it to, prompt a glazed look skywards.
There is the same irrationality in other anti-discrimination legislation (I was taught and taught my students - not 'pupils' - that discrimination was a positive mental ability and that they should learn to be rational in how they used it). I'm sure you can think of the examples from, eg, 'disablement' legislation (my mother was disabled) that I could employ here if it were the place to do so.
