Christie, with great respect, it is high time that solicitors were protected from the public. Yes, there are rotten eggs in this profession. The behaviour of some merits prison. The worst of it is that we know to a greater extent who they are and where they live.

But what sort of a system is it where once a complaint is lodged with LeO charges the solicitor £400? What sort of a system is it where SRA/SDT refuses, yes REFUSES, to tell me how it works out its costs, sometimes as high as £30,000? What sort of a system is it which changes the rules every five minutes? What sort of a system is it where SDT fined each of the partners in a S W firm c. £20,000 for charging £30 for a TT which its bank charged it £21,000?

There are some serial complainers out there. And there are others who just see this complaining business as a way of not paying what they owe.

I would be very pleased to explain the above in greater detail. Email me if you want, I am always pleased to listen to the other side, and to speak to the other side too:david.crawford@buyingfrenchproperty.com
