Martin (anon in question here, again!) - the "natural condition" of the nation state...Is that really the terminology we're going to use to describe the world outside of Europe? I could accept your proposition in that regard but really have to object to the results of the colonial powers' carving up of Africa, the Indian sub-continent and various other parts of the world with complete disregard for centuries old traditions (ethnic, religious and otherwise) as a 'natural condition'.

The world Britain would be propelled back into in the event of a 'Brexit' is not the world it existed in before the EU came into being, I think you'll agree. Moreover, has anybody actually made the economic case for leaving yet? I can't recall seeing anything other than a bunch of long-standing Europhiles doing the political equivalent of jumping up and down and saying "I WANT IT" like my two and a half year old nephew.

Make the case, and I will certainly listen, but don't try and make out that leaving the EU comes without significant risks and unknowns.
