Interesting post, Martin. I fear that, as in all 'wars', the first victim is the truth. And therein lies a good part of the problem in my opinion, everyone seems to want to say what supports his view, and to ignore, to put it at its highest, that which does not. I feel that we as lawyers should at least resist the temptation knowingly to do that.

The referendum on the 23rd June 2016 could prove quite as important to the history of this country as, say, the battle of Hastings, the marriage of Henry II and Eleanor of Acquitaine Magna Carta 1215, the battles of Crecy 1346 and Agincourt 1415, the treaty of Vienna 1815, the treaty of London 1839, the treaties of Versailles (1871 and 1919) to name just a few. At least let the debate be honest, or as near to honest as we can make it.
