I entirely agree, Anon, 2.16. However, could this be a good USP? Get the clients in to put all their assets into joint tenancy arrangements, revise wills and make lasting PoAs?

Personally speaking, I am now helping my children onto the property ladder. The thought of minimising my estate for IHT (and now probate court fees) or avoiding care home fees never even entered my head! Thank goodness I took out a Scottish Widows pension plan in 1980 when interest rates were 13%. Fingers crossed they don't go the same way as Equitable Death...
