Let's just see this for what it is. One old guy's perspective on things based on the detachment from reality that has come about from too many years sitting remotely on the bench. What is his research? Where is his evidence? Come on, let's see it?

I can take any idea seriously, if it is fully supported and there is a workable strategy for implementation.

But this is just another spouting off from someone who ought to have learned by now what to say when given the platform from which to give his views.

It is shocking that someone in his position could even think that lawyers are not needed to help those who through no fault of their own do not understand the law.

What's next - let's scrap all laws?! Oh no, obviously a judge wouldn't support that as he would be out of a job then too (but the current dismantling of the court system suggests that this government might go that far).
