There is nothing inherently wrong with either an ABS or a MDP.

Practising as a partnership does not by virtue of being unincorporated and with joint a several liability confer legal ability, personal integrity or sound business management and being constituted as a Ltd Co / LLP does not infer ineptitude, dishonesty or less able lawyers.

What is at issue here is whether the managers were 'fit & proper' and whether the SRA should have engaged sooner so as to ensure compliance with Principle 8 and Chapter 7.
