On Wednesday this week I received a call from a distraught mother wishing to oppose a Local Authority adopting her two year old child. She was an EU National but not a UK Citizen. The hearing took place on Friday.

As best we could with some language difficulties I helped her prepare an oral statement for the Court to take with her and read out (with a copy for the Judge in case he cold not understand what she was saying).

In speaking to the Judge she was to ask to the Court for Legal Assistance (as she was unrepresented), a Court Bundle (as she didn't have one), a Translator (as English was not her first language) and to state clearly that she did not consent to the adoption.

As she entered Court the Local Authority handed her a 22 page statment that she 'will need in the hearing' and they went in - she was all alone, fighting for her child.

You know the rest. The so called professionals here, and the judiciary, know EXACTLY why they don't want a McKenzie Friend to hold them to account.

No money - no justice.

And, it would seem, no shame either.
