Steven, with respect, that's not acting in the client's best interests.

It is a sad fact of life that what you term "forced adoption" is sometimes the only thing that will do. Rather than giving a client false hope, wouldn't it be best to give her realistic, and perhaps unpalatable, advice? On the other hand, If there were real prospects there to oppose the making of an adoption order or she was denied the opportunity to be heard on the matter of consent then surely her best interests were best served by channeling energies into securing representation, even under direct access if she really could get no help from a firm of solicitors.

My opinion is that this gives others providing McKenzie Friend services a bad name and does the client no favours.
