All the other comments aside, this is really a decision that helps promote unbundling solicitor services.

Client comes to you - limit the retainer to advice and evidence preparation but not to court representation.

Or, limit it further to simply assistance with preparation in order to help the client present their case at court, but unbundle the advice element.

On a separate issue, I wonder that conveyancers don't offer a 2 tier service. A cheap deal just doing the admin and acting as a postbox, and a more expensive deal advising on the results of searches and contract terms etc.
