One should not look just at the costs implications for this particular case as the present decision is an important precedent - thus the reason why the charities are appealing.

One test of a civilised society is the way it treats its animals. Anyway, who are you to deride those whose priorities differ from yours? How many people sleeping on the streets have you offered a home to? No, I thought not.

actually BIG MOUTH!! I have opened my doors and given a room to homeless people THREE TIMES in my life, once a young school girl, once a young man and once to a woman with a very young daughter....I also give homeless people money on a regular basis whom I pass on the streets ....so I would be very interested to know exactly WHAT YOU have DONE!

It is YOU who probably does not care for your fellow MAN above that of an ANIMAL, where I have no shame to admit that I do not feel the same
