Well, bearing in mind the CFA was a quid pro quo from the Government to provide 'access to justice' (their moniker, not mine) following the widescale removal of legal aid, who's fault is that?

Remember too that the five sets of CFA Regulations were full of holes - whose fault was that?

With the rising number of Lips, failure of firms up and down the country, and the shocking state of the court system, wouldn't it be a good idea to ask members of the profession at ground level to have a say as to how a completely broken system should be fixed, rather than having a series of out of touch civil servants and senior judiciary heaping petrol onto the fire?

CFAs have become a cumbersome nightmare, true - but the ill advised DBA and other proposals are quickly stacking up in an already crowded room 101.
