Sorry to disabuse, and doubtless disappoint, you, Anon 7.44, but I live here in Llandudno, about half a mile from where I was born and brought up. But, why let the truth get in the way of a good story, eh? That is a part of the problem with the pro-EU argument, it relies on emotive slanging and slagging off of the 'Brexit' case, and is frequently quite wide of the mark . As with war, the first casualty is the truth.

And as for preventing war, how does that square with Blair's two illegal wars? Chirac tried to stop him in Le Touquet in 2003, but his belligerence dragged us into a conflict which has set the Arab world on fire fro the Atlantic to the borders of China and created the refugee crisis we now have to try to cope with. Try telling the Iraqis and Afghans, or for that matter the blind and injured soldiers here at their home for disabled and sightless ex-servicemen here in Llandudno, that the EU prevents illegal wars. And don't just take my word for all that, read Clare Short's "An Honourable Deception", or Tom Bower's "Tony Blair: The Tragedy of Power".
