Certainly "leaving won't produce Utopia", Michael, but staying in could in a not very remote future commit us to Armageddon. You are quite right that the European project is doomed. The only questions remaining are: (1) when and under what circumstances it will meet that doom, and (2) whether we want to be part of it when it happens.
