Quite right, Raynor. In fact I do help the odd 'client' usually for nothing, when and where the 'system' appears to have failed them. In one case in this area a large firm failed to issue proceedings until the last week of the 6 year period and then failed to serve on the defendant's solicitors until the last day of the four months service period. They then failed to get an extension of time and the client lost his claim!!! I console;ed him with the fact that the defendant might not have been able to pay, but his by now former solicitors' insurers would. The satisfaction of helping to resolve such a situation is reward enough. There is a load of incompetent rubbish in this profession now.
