Whilst by no means a supporter of factory/tickbox volume firms, I am not jubilant when they have difficulties. These are staff and people we are talking about. .in reality, our colleagues.

The problem I have always had is not that they have come into existence (they are merely a different way of working, encouraged by Parliament), but that they have presented themselves as "new and better". This is pure marketing, encouraged by marketing and advertising professionals, ably assisted by journalists anxious to fill publication space, sell advertising space and get eye catching headlines. Our host publication is not blameless in this respect.

It should surely have been possible to announce these firms without the implied derogation of existing "traditional" firms.
