I must commend the Gazette as the go-to source of information on what's really happening in the profession and whilst I enjoy reading the very topical articles, may I refer to the excellent article by Paul Bennett of Aaron & Partners in a rival on-line publication entitled "Has the SRA Served Its Purpose ?" The article examines the extremely convincing reasons why the SRA (and its co-regulators) should be abolished. This is where the debate should be heading as what Paul Bennett says is only the truth, unpalatable as that may be to some.
