There is no reason why the back office functions of the High Court should not be privatised. There are only two things about the courts and the Land Registry that should remain in public hands; the judges/Land Registry officials who decide on the adequacy of the documents produced and the Court and Land Registry rule making bodies.

I do not care whether the person who seals a claim form is a civil servant or works for Capita. I do care if ATOS decides to abolish sub-mortgages "because there is no demand"
