China has improved. Things are undoubtedly better there now than in the days of Mao Tse Tung (lauded at the time by our own liberal-minded Great and Good) when millions were dying under the communist tyranny. Even the kidnapped bookseller, Lee Bo, has recently returned safe and sound to Hong Kong, an outcome almost unthinkable in the Sixties and Seventies. We should seek to work with China, not antagonize her. Mr Cameron is right in this, if in nothing else. And the same as regards Russia.
