Maybe providing a service that solicitors cannot afford to do is great. But for many at the Bar direct access isn't something they want and is a distress purchase.

If this is an extension of pro bono great but long term economically viable for counsel we'll see?

Apart from the annoyance - can't see anything for law firms to worry about - unless it is symptomatic of the race to the bottom on fees?
