Previously all representative bodies and organisations made the mistake of engaging with Government about fees. The only way to win the war is to change the theatre by concentrating the discussion on access to justice.
The Law Society and others assist the Government by commenting on proposed legislation and regulations. This is done for free. The government should pay for this in default no advice should be given. The government must be made to value us and to listen to us.
The current strategy of the law society has failed us and failed citizens and failed to address access to justice.
