At the end of the day, it will just encourage more people to disappear "underground" than leave. They won't spend money on buying time.

Result will be that the Home Office will have even less idea of how many are here unlawfully - not that they ever knew anyway.

As for pricing those overseas out of entry clearance appeals, well, out of sight, out of mind.
