This case highlights the Pandora's box opened by fixed fees.

The CPR are woefully inadequate when it comes to disbursements, particularly counsel's fees and translation fees. I spend more of my time arguing over costs now than I ever did prior to costs being fixed and this is compounded by the fact that the Defendants know just how much of a waste of time it is for us to be arguing over £50 on every single case.
