I find it remarkable that a government minister and those on this whole bandwagon routinely describe the ordinary British public as cheats and fraudsters. Someone negligently crashes into me because they were texting, doing their makeup, were hopelessly drunk or were otherwise demonstrating incompetence and I suffer an injury but I can't sue them because actually they're the victim because their premium will go up. Kafkesque. Sometimes I wonder whether this government doesn't really like the man in the street. Why not go the whole hog and do away with the Law of Negligence and have young urchins killed under cotton looms? Think what it'll do for the GDP
