When you forge a will, David, choose @witnesses@ who will be untraceable. Ideal candidates are very elderly and likely to be dead before the "testator".

Which reminds me that when I was in articles I did a seat next to the probate people who did not have an articled clerk (oh happy days!) of their own - so another articled clerk and I were called in to act as witnesses because we were likely to be easy to find and still alive when the client handed in his dinner pail in case of dispute.

And three of my testators, apparently healthy people in the prime of life, joined the majority within months of making the wills. Profitable for the firm: but they nicknamed me Finger of Death and stopped asking me to do it
