I'm not a dinosaur although I have been in the law for 20 years! I am always pushing new technology and embracing it where possible.

However, law is not like eating in a restaurant where the chef can control the quality of the food. Lawyers can control the quality of advice but we have to follow precedents and if the law is against a client we have little to no control over that and have tom deliver the bad news. End result, get a bad rating on the website.

A lot of the issues such as divorce are very trying and horrible times for clients. Yes we can hold their hands to a certain degree but if one party feels aggrieved and wants to screw the other party for everything they have but the law prevents them for doing so, who will get the bad ranking on the website? The Court of Appeal for setting the precedent year ago or the lawyer for delivering the bad news?

I can see the benefit to a website like this but there has to be checks and balances. Yes deal with the client care side of things like answering the phone, responding to queries, approachability etc. But this has to be distinct from the outcome where the lawyer has no control because of case law etc.
