...and at least six months later... I am still waiting for a response as to why the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors ( RICS) Building Survey Report carried about by a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS):

a. Bore no resemblance to the Criteria set out by the RICS - on their Website and in many other 'promotional articles'.

b. Bore no resemblance to the 'Practice Notes' for a Building Survey as laid down by the RICS.

c. Failed miserably in every comparison I made with all other Chartered Surveyor Reports.

c. Left me in complete ignorance of many issues that would not only be expensive but also have detrimental effects upon our home to the point where many people would have been forced to sell their home.

While being advertised as an Insured Professional, during my Negligence Claim, I as was not only informed that the Chartered Surveyor had no Legal Liability towards me but also repeatedly threatened with the Defendant Solicitors' Costs.

While being fully aware that I would not only have to jump through hoops backwards to prove Negligence but also that the Professional Indemnity Insurers would relegate the claim to the lowest possible denominator, I gave up.

I had been in communication with someone who had been involved in contributing towards the Practice Notes and my concerns of the poor quality of the RICS Building Survey Report were conveyed to the RICs.

Go on guess who was then 'assigned' by the RICS to 'investigate' for "potential disciplinary action" against the Chartered Surveyor.

No, I really couldn't make it up.
