It is not only the increase in Court fees but the increase in the SCT from £5000 to £10,000.

If anyone thinks that a loss of £9000 is a small loss to an individual or SME then they're deluded.

Even if the claim succeeds and the losses/debt claimed are recovered one the claimant may well be looking at the costs amounting to £745 for the issue and Court fee and that's before any solicitors costs or counsel's fees.

Sadly we have produced a system where debtors, the negligent and those who fail to meet their contractual terms are in the practical sense beyond the write of law.

A very sad state of affairs which it seems is only going to get worse.
