Anon 01:39 - I take your point but still disagree with it. It goes without saying that the bar chair has a dog in the hunt, as it were and that a fall off in litigation may affect her (well, depending on her area of practise of course - she may only give tax advice or work in the criminal courts). Interest groups, unions, corporations comment on all kinds of things without having to declare an interest we already know about. Your point would be more apt if her position as a barrister were withheld.
