I have just renewed my car insurance. I went back to Swintons in the first place. They quoted me £335. I then went back to the PO who quoted me £260. I telephoned Swintons , got to speak to a manager and he agreed to reduce the £335 to £260. And the extent of the cover was slightly greater (domestic and business use covered and I can drive any car with owner's consent and 3rd party cover).

So insurers can try to get away with whatever they can get away with, but we have to post a price list and stick to it...
