Well said anon at 11.43. I maybe in a minority but I am most definitely not aghast at the SRA proposed reform which I fully endorse. We live in a digital age and there are literally thousands of client's who have benefitted from receiving telephone advice and assistance. Insurers hate the practice (which in my enough reason in itself to encourage it) for 2 reasons. Firstly it results in claims. Secondly it represents income lost to the insurers own third party capture network of BTE insurers and solicitors etc. APIL's misguided policy to pander to the insurance industry over this issue is the reason I have not renewed by membership this year.
