Are you serious let alone legally qualified to be able to say that common law is "supreme" over statute? Parliamentary sovereignty is supreme. Besides have you read the judgment from yesterday? Clearly not otherwise you would understand why the judges reached the decision they did. The royal prerogative was clearly sidelined by Parliament when they passed the legislation and as a consequence the judges had no choice but to decide as they did. Blame the politicians if you must but don't blame the judges for giving you an British decision determined by English and Welsh judges - which is what you voted for.
